Valencia 2- Chelsea 2 Match Review

Truly a game of if's and but's that had all the ingredients to be called as one of the best group stage matches so far. Chelsea Coach Frank Lampard quoted it as a "Must win " game for both the sides and  the teams did give it their all making it a fixture worth watching for all the fans who were waiting in anticipation. Chelsea started as the pundits like to call them "Fearless" and kept Valencia under pressure in their own backyard. The visitors  almost took the lead as a cross was whipped in by the 19 year old Reece James for Willian who just wasn't able to keep it low                Valencia had their fair share of Chances as well and they managed to take the lead  just before half time as Soler scored at the 40 minute mark after a cross from Rodrigo fell in perfectly for him and he volleyed his effort past the Chelsea goal keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga. Chelsea returned the favor soon as Kovacic scored his first goal for Chelsea to make it 1-1      

Manchester City 2 Chelsea 1 match review

Manchester city took on Chelsea in what was the biggest clash of the weekend at the Ethiad Stadium. Frank Lampard's Chelsea walked into the match with 6 consecutive premier league wins. Chelsea riding high on confidence dominated the early stages of the game and also got the lead as Kovacic delivered a brilliant long ball  from the midfield for  Kante who cleverly slotted it past Ederson to make it  1-0          However City managed to get their equaliser soon as a deflection fell kindly for Kevin De Bruyne as his low hit took a nick of both Chelsea centre backs and drifted past Kepa. How Mateo Kovacic has improved under Frank Lampard ?

Not many people knew what to expect from Chelsea this season  with Frank Lampard's arrival at Chelsea who is relatively young and is only is his second season as a manager to add to Chelsea's misery Chelsea are current slapped with a 2 transfer window ban and will not be able to bring in any new reinforcements until summer 2020 if the ban is not upheld .Chelsea however against all odds have been one of the most successful teams this season scoring 27 goals and loosing only 2 game in the league and have 80 shots on target and are only second to Manchester city in terms of shots on target          The heart of Chelsea's success have been their academy players Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham, and Mason Mount who have received a lot of praise for their efforts. Chelsea continue their winning run as they secure their 6th consecutive Premier league win as they beat Crystal Palace in a one sided London derby on Saturday 09th November 2019. Chelsea manager Frank Lampard named the youngest ever starting Xi in Chelsea's premier league history with an average age of 24 years and 88 days which is the youngest by any team in the competition this season. Chelsea 4 Ajax 4 match review

Chelsea stunned the dutch champions Ajax in an epic Champions league clash . The blues came back from 4 goals to 1 to pull out a magnificent draw . Chelsea walked into the match with a home and psychological advantage after defeating Ajax 1-0 in their own backyard.However the visitors took the lead early courtesy of a free kick from Promes was deflected back into the net via deflection from  Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham .However Chelsea dint stay down for very long as Veltman brought down Pulisic in the penalty area. Jorginho stepped up to take the spot quick and wrong footed Onana and scored to make it 1-1. Chelsea continued to play high up the pitch and almost got their reward too after a cool finish from Tammy was ruled offside. Watford 1 Chelsea 2 match review

Frank Lampard's  men were back to winning ways after having a disappointing game against Manchester United in the Carbao Cup. Chelsea continued their stint of winning away games and it was the Hornets who were on the receiving end of it this time as Chelsea dominated them in their own backyard .
