Manchester City 2 Chelsea 1 match review

Manchester city took on Chelsea in what was the biggest clash of the weekend at the Ethiad Stadium. Frank Lampard's Chelsea walked into the match with 6 consecutive premier league wins. Chelsea riding high on confidence dominated the early stages of the game and also got the lead as Kovacic delivered a brilliant long ball  from the midfield for  Kante who cleverly slotted it past Ederson to make it  1-0
However City managed to get their equaliser soon as a deflection fell kindly for Kevin De Bruyne as his low hit took a nick of both Chelsea centre backs and drifted past Kepa. City completed the comeback soon as a brilliant solo goal from Maharez got them in front at the half time break.
The second half was relatively quiet Chelsea did move the ball around well and constantly tried to get through City's defence who did sit back and controlled the game in the second half .  Chelsea come close to scoring in the second half after  a free kick by Mason Mount  curled over Manchester city goal. Rahim Sterling did put up a late third goal only to be denied by the Var. Chelsea now sit 4th at the table and City move up to the third place as they stand only a point behind in form Leicester City
