Chelsea 2 Aston Villa 1 match review

Frank Lampard's Chelsea got back to winning ways as they beat Aston Villa in a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge. It was an emotional day for all the Chelsea fans as former captain John Terry returned to Stamford Bridge as Aston Villa's assistant manager.Chelsea had a major boost as Tammy Abraham returned back to the playing Xi after missing out on the weekend clash against West Ham.
Chelsea dominated the early stages of the game with dynamic runs from Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount proving  to be vital in the early stages of the game. However Visitors did miss a couple of chances and were unable to convert from the wide crosses coming in via Willian and Reece James. Aston Villa unable to track down the crosses eventually paid the price as Chelsea took the lead after Tammy Abraham nodded home a delightful cross from Reece James.
The visitors did get their equaliser just before half time as Trezeguet  bundled an excellent cross from  El Mohamady into Chelsea's right bottom corner. The difference between the two side was  Mason Mount's volley. The 19 year old ended his goal drought and that too with some authority . Willian's cross clipped Tammy's chest and fell kindly for Mason mount who thumped his empathic volley into the roof of the net to help Chelsea take all 3 points from the game.
