Chelsea transfer ban OVERTURNED

Just the news all the Chelsea fans have been waiting for, Court of Arbitration Sports (CAS) has decided to overturn the ban imposed on Chelsea. Chelsea were initially banned by Fifa for 4 transfer windows for breaching article 19 and 18 of their regulations which concerns the transfer registrations and status of the minors. The ban was subsequently reduced to 2 transfer windows by Fifa  but Chelsea opted to appeal to the Court of Arbitration Sports to reduce the ban to one transfer window
After the final hearing held in November the club and the fans were eagerly waiting for the decision which finally went Chelsea's way the (CAS) decided to reduce the ban to one transfer window which the club has already served during summer 2019.
The CAS stated "The following sanctions have now been imposed by the CAS: Chelsea is banned from registering any new players, either nationally or internationally for one entire registration period, which the club has already served during the summer registration period. Chelsea is ordered to pay a fine to Fifa of the amount of 300,000 Swiss Francs".
The CAS found that Chelsea "did violate" the rules on  minors "but for a significantly smaller number of players ( about 1/3 of the violations found by Fifa"). In addition, the violations of the other rules were found to be less serious than those attributed to Chelsea Fc by Fifa". CAS added " The sole arbitrator reduced the sanction to one single transfer ban which Chelsea Fc has already served during the 2019 ( summer registration period), and halved the monetary sanction
After the ban was overturned Chelsea lashed out on Fifa and described their approach as "extremely unsatisfactory" and stated that " Fifa chose to treat Manchester City ( who were only penalized and not banned for breaching similar regulations ) differently which made no sense to Chelsea. The club suggested "There will be consequences if Fifa continues to impose inconsistent and unequal sanctions on clubs, and then it will not only undermine the very purpose of regulations, but also bring into doubt the game's confidence in Fifa being able to regulate this important area"
Chelsea are now expected to splurge about 150 million and  get back into the market and are set to fetch some big names to strengthen the squad . Leicester City left back Ben Chilwell, Crystal Palace winger Wilfred  Zaha and Dortmund star Jadon Sancho are considered to be Frank Lampard's top priority signings.
